Today is a special day. 52 years ago my wonderful husband came into this world! Happy Birthday
Georg! My world is a better place because of YOU!!!
Today was another fun day in MT (the Tibetan quarter Majnu Ka Tilla in Delhi). I was hanging out with some locals again and this time we were not only talking about various things but we were having fun playing some games. Imitation, speaking games, etc. It was fun! I started to learn more about them, their lives and how they came to be living here instead of Tibet. More later on that.
We ended up going to dinner at an Indian place tonight and then two musician friends came and we had
sort of an improvised "jam session" and they started playing and singing some Tibetan songs that the exiled Tibetans learn when they are young (as well as some original tunes from the musicians). What a fun
evening!
I will probably only be here for a few more days then I will head further north. Stay tuned...!
The battle with the cockroaches continues... Last night I was not amused when one decided to
cuddle with me in my bed INSIDE the dome mosquito net!!! He was frantic to get out as as much as I was frantic to get him out! Needless to say, it was somewhat difficult to fall back asleep after that surprise
encounter. I heard that my neighbor across the hall has visiting little lizards. I saw one of them on the wall in the hall tonight. I wonder if they will pay me a visit too? I had a grass hopper this morning too!
That's all for now.
p.s. I hope to photograph the temple tomorrow...
